the app

no account. no sign up. no server. zinepic doesn’t know you exist.

composing, layout analysis, and rendering all happen on the device. no photo of yours is sent to zinepic, ever.

with the whole press, your library backs up to your own icloud. photos, clips, every entry you made. it lands in a private database on your apple account, which zinepic can’t read. there’s no zinepic server for it to go to.

backup only happens if you have the press. sign out of icloud and it stops.

the app counts use, anonymously. which template you pick. which layout you keep, and which you reroll. when a series exports. when the unlock sheet shows up, and when it’s bought.

a count holds the name of the thing and nothing else. no photo, no word you wrote, no name, no account. there isn’t one to begin with.

counts go to telemetrydeck, the analytics service. it’s hosted in the eu, and built so a count can’t be traced back to a person. zinepic sets no identifier of its own.

buying the whole press is handled by apple. zinepic never sees your card, your billing details, or your apple id. restoring a purchase goes through apple too.

delete the app and everything on the phone goes with it. every photo, every layout, every series lived there and leaves when it does. the icloud copy, if you made one, stays in your account until you delete it there.

one exception, named plainly. the app remembers two things, on the device only: that it’s checked in with the app store before (a reachability flag), and which series you’ve created (the press ledger). neither one leaves your phone.

the website

zinepic.com asks for one thing: an email address, if you join the waitlist. it goes to resend, the service that sends the waitlist emails, and it’s used for exactly one purpose: telling you when the app ships. nothing else is attached to it.

want your email removed? ask, at the address below, or use the unsubscribe link in any email we send. it will be removed.

the site uses vercel analytics to count visits. it’s cookieless: aggregate page counts, no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no advertising ids, no fingerprinting.

selling and sharing

zinepic sells nothing about you and shares nothing about you, because it holds almost nothing to begin with.

changes

if this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the change is stated plainly on this page.
